Description of the building
The community hall has three rooms available for booking. Please email for prices and availability
The Main Hall has a stage, capacity for 150 people, tables and chairs plus access to a kitchen
The Green Room has a wall of mirrors with a capacity of 30 people
The Meeting Room has access to a kitchen and can accommodate 20 people
Activities that take place
Current Groups that use it: Dona Dancing, Toddler Group, Bingo, Indoor Bowls, Ferrard Day Centre
Some History
COMMUNITY HALL ‘OLD SCHOOL’ PROJECT The Community Hall (Old School) is currently being renovated with the help of €92,000 from central government and Louth County Council. Balance of the funding will be raised through the local lotto. Work commenced on Monday 24th Nov 2003 and is expected to continue until April 2004 at the earliest. Work comprises of securing, sealing and insulating the roof. New internal ceiling, heating system and electrics. Re-plaster walls, refurbish existing toilets and kitchen and install disabled toilet. Install new doors, windows and wheelchair access ramp at front. Paint inside and outside of the building. Future probable uses include whist, poker, snooker, modern dance and Irish dancing. Meetings for Clogherhead Development Group, ICA and other organisation.
